Well, Richard Barrett’s book, What My Soul Told Me is such a manual. In his intriguing four step process, Barrett relates how we can be more successful and happy by making a true connection with our soul. He also points out how we run amuck when we allow our off-centered emotions and desires to overrule common sense when deciding how to handle the experiences we have in life. Our soul wants only the best for us, however it is essential that we listen to its wisdom when making decisions and endeavoring to become the best we can be.

Mr. Barrett’s four step process (Connecting with your soul, Befriending your soul, Trusting your soul, and Becoming one with your soul) goes into depth on how to align your ego with your soul and allow its guidance to direct you in all areas of your life. What My Soul Told Me is a step by step manual of realizing that you are the soul and then taking the necessary steps to make that connection consciously.

When you think about it, it’s our soul that continues after this life, so it’s reasonable to infer that our soul is in constant contact with our brains in all areas of our existence, and that our soul will take all that we have learned with it after our earthly passing. Why would we wait until that passing to realize the great benefit of its guidance?

Mr. Barrett gives us a detailed manual of how we can avail ourselves of the soul’s guidance in the here and now, when we need it the most.
